Want the Best Free Advertising on the Internet?

"Write Your Own Articles!"

By Tracie Johansen

Wouldn't you love to reach thousands of people for free?

You can, simply by writing articles and having them

published. There are thousands of newsletter publishers

looking for good content for their newsletters.

What better way to reach people then in an email newsletter.

Put your resource box at the end of your article and watch

your traffic soar.

Before you set out to submit your articles here are some

tips for getting ready.

1. Write about what you know, we all have things we know

that can benefit other people. Check out articles in other

newsletters to see what people are interested in. Write

about something people will be excited about.

2. Spend time working on the title. Your title is very

important because it will catch people's attention to get

them interested in reading the article. If you do not

get their attention immediately, they may not read the

article.

3. Write several different articles ranging from 500

to 1500 words. Edit it and edit it then edit it again.

Do this until you feel it is great. Have some of your

friends or family read the article, and ask for their

honest opinions.

4. Be sure to check your spelling. This is very important

because most places you submit your article will not take

time to edit it. This up to you.

5. Be sure to subscribe to each newsletter you want to

submit articles to. Read the kind of articles they use

in their newsletters to get an idea of what they're

looking for. Also, checkout their newsletter archives

and read through at least 10 to 15 back issues to be

sure you know what writing style they like.

6. Have each of your articles available by autoresponder.

Many newsletter editors require this. Also, be sure to

send each of your articles to yourself to make sure the

format looks correct.

7. You'll want to spend plenty of time putting together an

effective resource box for the end of your article. Be sure

to include your copyright, name, web site address, email

address (if you choose), and a short description of your

site.

8. Use your notebook or a text file of your choice to keep

this information readily available at the click of your mouse.

Be sure to set-up a file with all the information you will

need that you can copy and paste, then you can just pop

your information into the forms without retyping them every time.

9. Be sure to write a good description of your article as

many editors require a description before they will read

your article. Have descriptions ready from 25 words to

100 words. Write at least five different descriptions for

each article you would like to submit.

10. Be sure to have at least 10 to 15 keywords describing

your article.

11. Have your contact information ready so you can cut

and paste it into each form or email when you submit your

articles.

Name:

address:

city, state, zip:

phone #:

country:

URL's:

email:

12. Keep a list of each site you submit your articles to

and include the following information.

a. URL and Name of Site

b. The title or number of the description you used on the

site, and the category you submitted to.

c. If a reciprocal link is required put the HTML code for

it in the file.

d. Description of the site

e. URL of your listing

f. Date verified that your listing was posted.

g. And plenty of room for notes
