Sunrise Of Opportunity
http://www.sunriseofopportunity.com

We all began our lives imitating the behavior of others. As

we grew, we began to test our own wings. We learned our limits

the hard way and we also learned frustration. Unfortunately, some

of us became complacent and dependent. Some only did what was “expected” so that, somehow, they might be looked upon as a

“success” in the eyes of others.

During the growing-up process, we yearned to become a member

of the “in crowd”. If we didn’t make it, some began to feel like

“outcasts”. Those who became complacent and dependent, many

times, wanted to be “in” because that is what society says they

should be, if they were to enjoy a successful life.

For many, this delusion continues into adulthood where it

transforms into an attempt to “keep up with the Jones’. Breaking

free from society’s definition of success takes courage, self-

esteem, self-purpose, and a solid personal commitment to your

definition of success, success-supportive goals and an action-

oriented goal achievement plan.

When you reflect on your past, could you be feeling inwardly

guilty of how you have limited your daily sunrise of opportun-

ities to this point in your life? Have you adapted your life to

meet the desires, requirements, or suggestions of society’s

expectations instead of your own? If so, perhaps you have felt

you would be accepted by what you believed to be the “in crowd”

simply because you wore the right shirt, drove the right car, etc.

Or, are your thoughts and daydreams in rebellion to society’s

“in” way of thinking and measurement of success? Is your outward

presentation of who you are a direct reflection of your inward

reality? If not, possibly you need to have an honest, heart-to-

heart talk with ole #1 – yourself.

Now, have a good ole heart-to-heart with yourself and go grab

yourself a whole bunch of sunrises of opportunity!
