The Truth about MLM.

You've heard that you can make tons of money on the Internet

and become financially free. Just join in on Internet

marketing, MLM or an affiliate program and you're ready to

just sit back and watch the residual paychecks come rolling

in. Sounds great, but it doesn't work this way.

There is money to be made in network marketing, but it is

not a "get rich quick" system by far. Those who are top

income producers work hard and have benefits that resemble

those of a business owner - that's because they are business

owners. Those at the top own a system they worked hard to

create. They are able to take vacations and find residual

checks waiting for them because they built a results driven

downline.

The initial stage of building a strong downline is the

toughest part in Internet marketing. On average, it takes

three months and a great deal of trial and error to receive

the first commission check. It is often suggested to view

the first six months of Internet marketing as a training

process. During this period, reserve a third of your

marketing time dedicated to learning. Subscribe to several

Internet marketing ezines, post and review messages on

discussion boards and forums, flip through marketing books

at the bookstore and learn your business inside and out.

There is a lot to learn and a lot of people willing to help

in this age of information - take advantage of it.

The best advice is to talk to people who have succeeded.

Don't ask a bad chef how to cook an extravagant dinner,

so to speak. Talk to the leaders in your upline. These

people were once in your shoes and they still have the

same qualities that got them where they are - they're open

minded, good listeners and anxious to learn. They will be

more than willing to help since they profit on your success.

Often the people at the top will say what you don't want to

hear. They will say they failed several times, but from that

experience they found out what works. They learned to

succeed. Don't expect to place one ad in an ezine and give

up everything because you didn't get results. Don't get

discouraged. Move on with a lesson learned. Maybe it was the

ad, maybe it was the ezine, maybe it was a bad week, but

eventually you will find what works for you.

Once a grasp of Internet marketing is obtained and strong

recruits are gathered, your dowline will produce profits

and increase your downline at a rapid pace. As a result,

you will find yourself spending more time training and

developing your downline - as apposed to recruiting.

Internet marketing should now come at ease and at a greater

level of familiarity. It is at this point that financial

freedom is achieved. It only takes a handful of strong leaders

in your downline to create prosperous results, but it may

take 2-5 years to find them.

There are billions of dollars transferred over the Internet

daily. Making some of this money is just a matter of knowing

how. Many top Internet marketers started with a part-time,

extra income expectation that turned out to produce a

residual income that replaced their full-time job. Work

hard, learn from those who have succeeded and find the

marketing strategy that works for you.
